Dear Waterville Church Family,
God is good. One of the basic beliefs for Christians is that God is good. This foundational belief begins with the creation story and flows throughout God's word. Yet, many of us as believers in Jesus struggle in our relationship with God in our daily lives. Do we really trust God?
Trusting God is one of the keys to an ever deepening relationship with God in Christ. The battle within of trusting God is often the battle between our desires and God's purpose in our lives. Ask yourself, do I trust God and am I willing to follow God's leading in my life?
Jesus prayed for each of us prior to his death on the cross. His prayer was that we would be at one with Jesus just as Jesus is one with God. So how do we know or measure the condition of our relationship with God?
One of the ways we can measure our relationship with God is to consider the level of peace we have within. This is due to Jesus teaching and giving to each believer the gift of inner peace. It is this inner peace that everyone is searching for.
Where are you looking for peace and contentment? Some of us have been working for most of our lives to find this kind of peace in our daily lives. What do you believe will bring you real contentment?
It is an easy answer to say Jesus. Yes, we do find real peace and contentment when we ask Jesus to be our Savior. It is maintaining this peace and contentment that seems so very difficult. So, what are some of the boundaries to living each day in peace?
One action that blocks our peace is the condition of our relationship with God. How would you rate your relationship with God?
By God's grace Jesus dealt with the sin piece on our behalf. Our part in this relationship is living in the peace that Jesus promised. Peace that only comes from God. What is robbing you of a vital relationship with God that is confirmed by a peace within that passes all understanding. Don't let our world or Satan steal your peace in Christ. It is this peace that we can use to help us measure our relationship with God.
May you live in God's peace today,

Now for doctor visits, and rehab, hopefully getting Penn back to a new normal.
It is a time like this that we are so grateful to our church and our church family. Pastor Mike has been with us during the entire process, and we are so thankful.
