Dear Church Family,
As United Methodist we have 12.5 million brothers and sisters around the world. We share with these brothers and sisters a common mission as stated in Matthew 28:16-20,
"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
We share a great heritage of going out into our world and introducing people to the love of God through Jesus. Introducing others to Jesus is a primary activity of a person who knows Jesus personally. Just as Jesus taught his disciples how to live as God desires we also share in the same calling to go and make disciples.
As a disciple of Jesus, we are on a journey in which God desires for our relationship to grow more mature each day. A relationship that is life changing from the moment it begins at our acceptance of Jesus as Savior. We then live the rest of our lives learning how to live with Jesus as our LORD.
We often face difficulties or challenges in making Jesus Lord of our lives. One of our challenges is making time each day to purposely give ourselves to God; seeking the leading of the Holy Spirit. Jesus stated in Luke 9:23,
"Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me."
In this verse, Jesus makes it clear that a mark of a disciple is a life of self-denial so as to live the life that God created us to live.
Are you really satisfied with your daily life? Do you have the peace of God within you? A sense of eternal assurance and an inner peace are both marks of a disciple of Jesus.
As we journey together what would help you in your walk with Christ? Let me know what would assist you most in the coming days and weeks so that your life with Jesus will continue to mature and service to God will become more evident.
My prayer for each of us, is for the Holy Spirit to empower us all. Showing the world that our congregation is a place to discover God's love in Christ and our lives are being transformed into the likeness of Jesus. Let us all pray for God to guide us as we go and make disciples.

Pastor Mike and the Leadership Team would like to thank you for your generosity and willingness to share your financial resources. May God continue to bless each of you and this congregation, as we work together doing His work of sharing the good news with others.
Summer Giving: Historically our General Fund giving normally drops off during the summer months as many of us are out of town on vacations or away enjoying other summer-time activities. Unfortunately expenses continue each month regardless of the amount of income we receive, so we ask you to please consider this issue and the timeliness of your contributions.
Quarterly Statements: Your 2nd Quarter Giving Statements will be emailed on Saturday, July 7th. For those who receive hard copies, they will be available for your pick-up on Sunday, July 8th on the shelf outside the Church Office.
By the way, if you currently receive a hard copy of your quarterly giving statement, you may want to consider using our optional and cost saving method of receiving them via email. We simply attach a PDF file to an email, which you may print or file electronically. If you would like to participate in this program or obtain additional information, please contact Tom Wigginsfinancialsec@watervilleumc.org or the Church Office firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, if you are not aware, The Ambassador monthly newsletter and a weekly church news update, affectionately known as the "Friday Blaster" are both sent via email. If you currently do not receive these and would like to, please contact the church office with your email address.
"Loving Provider, help us to save and spend wisely so we can give generously, as You give to us each day. AMEN"

Dear Waterville Church Family,
I am writing to thank you for the gift you sent to support the 2018 Maumee Watershed District-Monroe Street Neighborhood Center Freedom School. We are within a month of children coming in to the freedom school for sic weeks where many volunteers will engage them in reading, self esteem building and enrichment opportunities. Last year we engaged fifty children in our Freedom School and 90% of them either maintained their reading level throughout the summer or increased in their reading level. we are ready to do this again, only with sixty children. We have added a class to accommodate
Your gift makes all this possible! We cannot have Freedom School without you and your gift. Much appreciation for many of you serving breakfast as well! Thank you for the many ways in which you serve Christ and His Church.
Many blessings! I hope that you will continue to support Freedom School next year as well.

The Church with the Warm Heart has done it again to show the love of Jesus to us. Your expressions of appreciation and best wishes for my retirement adventures all mean so much to us. You have taken me into your family, especially the prayers for us as we lost our brothers and then for my Mom and I as we were in the emergency room mean so very much. I count it all joy to know you as brothers and sisters in the Lord.
May the Lord continue to bless you as this church proclaims the grace and truth of God's Word.
