Worship Services

We cordially invite you to be a part of our fellowship as we celebrate in worship and work together in ministry. We believe the church is more than a building on the corner. It is in worship we find strength in our faith, joy in our friendship, and comfort in our heartaches.

Our worship services are devoted to helping people strengthen their commitment to Jesus Christ through music, prayer, Scripture, and meditation. We celebrate the sacrament of communion every month, alternating between serving it at the altar, in the pews, and by intinction.

A staffed nursery is available in the church’s education wing for each service, and a cry room is in the balcony of the sanctuary. We have adopted a Safe Sanctuary policy. Elsewhere in this brochure, you will find opportunities we provide for enriching Christian education from pre-school years through adult.

Young People may serve as acolytes for our services, and anyone may serve as a greeter, an usher, or by sharing a children’s sermon.

The church also provides transportation to our Sunday morning worship services for residents of the Masonic Browning Community.

Music Ministry

Waterville United Methodist Church members have enjoyed a rich and long-standing tradition of excellence in music ministry.

Members use music to praise the Lord in many ways:

Adult Choir, Hymns sung during the service, Kinder Choir for elementary age members, the Handbell Choir, a Church Band, Christmas caroling and occasional special music presentations by soloists.

Music leads the way to praise the Lord, and it is interspersed among other forms of worship at Waterville United Methodist Church.

Music Also helps lead us to worship the Lord in our joys, in our sorrows, and in our adoration.

Each of the organized music groups acts as a “small group” with caring and sharing among the members as their musical talents are demonstrated.

Practice times are September through June:

Adult Choir - Thursdays, 7:00 p.m.

Kinder Choir - Wednesdays, 5:15 p.m.

Handbell Choir - Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m.

Church Band - Thursdays, 6:00 p.m.
