Mike was born and raised in Muskingum County Ohio. At the age of 11 he committed his life to Jesus as his savior and not long after felt the first call to pastoral ministry. He is married to Pam, celebrating 33 years of marriage. They have two children and two grandchildren. Their daughter, Kristin is 25, her son, Emmanuel is 2 and son Steven is 22. Kristin lives and works in Toledo and Steven lives and works in Columbus.
Mike is a 1975 graduate of Tri-Valley High School, a 1983 graduate of Muskingum College with a BA in business and a 1986 graduate of the Methodist Theological School of Ohio with a Masters of Divinty. Mike was ordained an Elder in the UMC in 1988. Additional education includes: church revitalization, leadership coaching and development and district staff supervision.
Over the years Mike has served in numerous district and conference leadership roles including: communications, church camp, leadership development, trustees, superintendency committee, annual conference planning team, and the disciple making church team.
